Django Unchained Les Miserables The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is currently expected to stay on top of the box office, fending off two big challengers.

Peter Jackson's latest fantasy epic is projected to earn $32.5 million in its third weekend, enough to beat the new releases Django Unchained and Les Misérables, both of which are tracking toward roughly $28.5 million.

The family comedy Parental Guidance ($14.5 million) should eke out a fourth-place finish over Tom Cruise's action-packed Jack Reacher ($13.5 million).

This Is 40 is expected to fill the $6 spot with about $11.5 million in earnings.

Historical drama Lincoln ($7 million) is in a tight race with the animated re-release Monsters Inc 3D ($6.5 million) and The Guilt Trip, Seth Rogen's comic collaboration with Barbra Streisand ($6 million).

Rise of the Guardians should round out the Top 10 with $5.5 million.

1.1. Brandi Glanville v. LeAnn Rimes

The former and current Mrs. Eddie Cibiran continued their War of Words this year, despite a brief détente in March. In May, Glanville admitted she once wanted "to kill" Rimes, and when the country singer entered treatment in August, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star offered a carefully-worded statement of supposed "support." A few weeks later, Glanville slammed Rimes on Twitter as a "hypocrite," and in December, blasted the music star for calling her rival's sons "my boys." The drama culminated earlier this month, when Rimes told Jay Leno that she's "flattered" Glanville uses her for storylines on "RHOBH." Expect plenty of more back-and-forth fireworks from these two in 2013!

2.2. Chris Brown v. Jenny Johnson

In November, the singer went on an explicit tirade against Johnson on Twitter, after the comedienne called Brown a "worthless piece of sh*t" and later called him out for his 2009 assault on Rihanna. A flurry of X-rated disses from Brown followed, until the musician's Twitter account was shut down later that night. He returned to the social networking site exactly one week later, with a source telling Gossip Cop that he had "made an error in judgment" in engaging with Johnson.

3.3. One Direction v. The Wanted

The rival boy bands went tweet-to-tweet in November, with 1D's Zayn Malik calling The Wanted's Max George a 'geek" and a "wannabe." Both George and his band mate Tom Parker fired back, and soon Malik's fellow crooner Louis Tomlinson joined the fray as both sides traded insults over looks and vocal abilities. The lesson: Don't count on a 1D-Wanted co-headlining tour next year.

4.4.The Jacksons v. The Jacksons

Michael Jackson's family was fiercely splintered earlier this year, when the late King of Pop's mom Katherine was reported missing in July. In actuality, the matriarch was taken to her daughter Rebbie's house in Arizona, and later admitted she was kept from contacting Jackson's kids after her sudden disappearance. In the interim, Janet and Jackson's daughter Paris had an altercation that allegedly turned physical, and the children were placed under the temporary guardianship of their cousin T.J., who later agreed to share custody with Katherine upon her return to California.

5.5. Elton John v. Madonna

The Golden Globes in January provided a new arena for the notorious frenemies, during which John predicted on the red carpet that Madge didn't have 'a f**king chance' of beating him in the Best Original Song category. Well, she did -- and then John's partner David Furnish went on to blast the pop star on Facebook, only to claim a few days later that his comments were "blown way out of proportion." Later that month, John joked that Madonna should 'lip-sync good' during her upcoming Super Bowl performance, but really blasted her during an August interview, saying Madonna "looks like a f**king fairground stripper" and that her "career is over," among other choice insults. The songstress' response? During a concert a few weeks later, she dedicated her song "Masterpiece" to John, and told the crowd, "I forgive him."

6.6. Nicki Minaj v. Mariah Carey

The new "American Idol" judges initially shot down rumors of a brewing feud, but there was no denying the two stars had issues after Minaj erupted during an October taping. After a disagreement over an audition, the rapper was caught on camera yelling, "I'm not f**king with her f**kin' highness over there," and production was shut down for the day. Tensions increased even further after Barbara Walters claimed Minaj had threatened to "shoot" Carey and that the singer would be getting additional security. Minaj insisted the allegations weren't true, and slammed Walters for not reaching out for her side of the story. "Idol" producers tried to quell the flames by releasing a statement saying they "support all of the judges," but that didn't stop former judge Steven Tyler from getting into it with Minaj a few weeks later.

7.7. PETA v. Lady Gaga

In the course of just a few months, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals lashed out at the pop star not once, not twice, but three separate times. First, in August, the organization accused Gaga of being a "turncoat" for professing to be anti-fur but wearing it in recent public appearances. The singer quickly fired back, in turn accusing PETA of waging "violent, abusive, and childish campaigns," and taking a dig at the group's supporters for a flour bombing incident with Kim Kardashian earlier this year. But that didn't stop PETA from blasting Gaga again in September, calling the songstress -- and Rihanna -- "freaks" who "are laughed at" for wearing animal products, like snakeskin. PETA's final shot of the year came in mid-December, when, in an exclusive statement to Gossip Cop, the group slammed Gaga as "out of her mind" for reportedly purchasing a number of pricey fur coats. This year also saw the organization taking jabs at the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Snooki, Kanye West and Jennifer Lawrence.

8.8. Halle Berry v. Gabriel Aubry

The exes were in and out of court all year long, fighting over custody of their young daughter Nahla. In January, Aubry was accused of child endangerment after an incident with the little girl's nanny, prompting him to enter anger management and a judge to rule in February that he could only have supervised visits with Nahla. That same month, Berry asked the judge for permission to move to France with Nahla and fiancé Olivier Martinez, citing the danger posed by paparazzi in America. While the request was under consideration, the Oscar winner was ordered to fork over $20,000 a month to Aubry in child support. Then, in November, just a few weeks after Berry's request was denied, Aubry and Martinez had a major brawl on Thanksgiving that led to the model's arrest and landed him the hospital with some gnarly injuries. But shortly after both parties took out dueling restraining orders, Berry and Aubry reached a custody agreement that will hopefully keep them out of court in 2013.

9.9. Jon Hamm v. Kim Kardashian

In March, the "Mad Men" star ranted about the reality star (as well as Paris Hilton) in an interview with Elle UK, complaining that "being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly.' Kardashian shot back with a lengthy response on Twitter, arguing that "calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless.' That, however, didn't stop Hamm from slamming Kardashian again days later, maintaining that his comments were "accurate" and saying that he doesn't "really understand the appeal" of the Kardashian clan. The very next month, the two put their issues aside for live cameos on "30 Rock."

10.10. Joan Rivers v. Chelsea Handler

Rivers had many targets in 2012 -- including Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Alicia Silverstone and even the late Whitney Houston --- but her harshest words were aimed at fellow E! personality Handler. During an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show, Handler had commented "What the f**k do I care about Joan Rivers" after the veteran comedienne made some digs at Handler's expense at a recent event. On Stern's show the very next day, Rivers ripped into Handler, alleging that the "Chelsea Lately" host "made it big by 'f**king the president' of the network. She later called Handler a "drunk" and warned her, 'Don't you come after me, you whore!' Yikes.

11.11. Howard Stern v. Jay Leno & NBC

A staunch supporter of David Letterman, the shock jock showed no signs of easing up on Leno this year, dissing "The Tonight Show" host at least three separate times. In February, Stern told Letterman he refused to go on Leno's show to promote his new gig on "America's Got Talent," and then mocked Leno in May on Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night." The biggest drama, however, came in late August, when Stern claimed he got a "threatening kind of comment" from a NBC exec after calling Leno a "spineless maggot" on his radio show. Not surprisingly, Stern refused to back down, and instead upped the ante, going on to blast his adversary as "the biggest wuss on the planet," and even labeling him a "a back-stabbing c*mbag.' It seems NBC didn't actually mind too much, as Stern will be back on "AGT" in the New Year.

12.12. Don Lemon v. Jonah Hill

The CNN anchor went after Hill on Twitter in November, claiming the actor was "rude" to him during a hotel run-in. After calling Hill a "tool," and pointedly writing that the incident was "a lesson to always be kind," the movie star explained that he was "in a hurry" and shot back, "Didn't realize you were a 12 year old girl." Hill later offered what seemed to be a genuine apology, but Lemon didn't exactly accept the peace offering, going on to suggestively warn that "stardom is fleeting."

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Planning Special Wedding Tattoos?

According to OK!, 'When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally take the plunge into matrimony this summer they are going to mark the occasion with something even more lasting than jewelry: They plan to get special tattoos.'

'They're finalizing designs now, but all they'll say is it will be 'very intimate,'' says a source for the tabloid.

But there's allegedly a problem.

OK! claims the stars are 'having a hard time agreeing on a design.'

'Angelina loves complicated and deeply thought-out tattoos that only have meaning to her and those closest to her,' explains a mag insider. 'Brad likes something more visual and even suggested they do something a little silly, like a favorite cartoon character.'

Uh-huh.

Oh, but the supposed issues don't end there!

'They can't seem to decide what size and on which body part they should add the new decorations,' reports OK!

In other words, the tabloid can't tell us anything about the alleged wedding tattoos.

It's appropriate, since OK! recently pretended to have insight into the nuptials themselves ' and whiffed.

Of course, the same publication falsely insisted the couple had secretly married more than a year ago, and wrongly claimed Jolie was pregnant with twins last February.

OK!'s sources have consistently fed the magazine inaccurate information, and when the tab has nothing to say, it comes up with vague, baseless 'reporting' like this piece about Jolie and Pitt's wedding tattoos.

An actual source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the 'special tattoos' story is based on 'pure speculation.'

Brad and Angie have been pretty MIA since Brad finished promoting and filming. But notice that the tabloids and gossip sites can't leave them alone. Why don't they focus on the celebs that obviously want attention. You know the ones that make sure to be seen on a daily basis.

Nick Stahl Arrested at Porn Store for Alleged Lewd Conduct

Nick Stahl, the troubled star of Terminator 3, was arrested for allegedly masturbating in a porn store on Thursday.

Undercover vice officers with the Los Angeles Police Department found the actor 'touching himself' in a private booth at a Hollywood adult video venue at approximately 6 p.m. and cited Stahl for misdemeanor lewd conduct, according to TMZ.

He was released from custody a few hours later, calling it a 'misunderstanding.'

Stahl has had a difficult 2012.

Last January, he was arrested after a dispute with a cab driver, and in the following months went missing repeatedly.

The actor entered rehab at one point last spring.
