Amazing Spider-Man Breaks Box Office Record

The Amazing Spider-Man

BOX OFFICE

(Sony Pictures)

The Amazing Spider-Man is turning out to be quite amazing in early box office returns.

The Sony Pictures film, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, opened with a reported $35 million, setting a record for a Tuesday opening.

That easily topped previous record-holder The Transformers, which brought in $27.8 million in 2007.
