Dumb & Dumber 2 is NOT dead ' yet.
The much-discussed potential sequel to the 1994 classic Dumb & Dumber seemed to be kaput last month when Jim Carrey appeared to drop out of the project.
But during his Wednesday spot on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,' co-star Jeff Daniels passed along some encouraging news.
Daniels explained that the Farrelly brothers are doing a re-write on the script, that Carrey is still on board, and that news could be coming 'next week.'
He said, 'Jim's wanted to do it for a year and a half, I think next week it'll either come together or it won't' indications are it probably will.'
Hope springs eternal!
