Child Services Called to Kardashian Home by Prankster, Family to Take Legal Action

The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services responded on Friday to an anonymous call to the Kardashian household that claimed Kendall and Kylie Jenner were in danger, but it turns out the whole thing was likely a bogus set-up by a tabloid reporter.
Social workers and police arrived at the home to check on the caller's allegations of possible abuse of the Jenner teens, but quickly found there was absolutely no credence to the accusations.
A source close to the Kardashian/Jenner family tells Gossip Cop, 'Kendall wasn't even in the country when this happened,' and officials immediately 'realized all was fine and they left right away.'
Our insider says the clan believes the call was placed by a tabloid reporter who was possibly trying to make up a story.
Now, the family is determined to find out who is behind the hoax.
A rep for the Kardashian/Jenners tells Gossip Cop the caller's claims are 'ridiculous,' adding, 'It's such a shame that anyone can make up such hurtful and hideous untruths especially when children are involved.'
'We are taking this matter very seriously and investigating to find out who is responsible for fabricating such a terrible story and will take the necessary legal action so that this does not happen again,' vows the spokesperson.

As Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast on Monday, concerts were canceled and Jimmy Kimmel had to shut down his special Brooklyn broadcast, but New York's David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon decided to do their own late-night shows ' with a twist.
They had no audiences.
Letterman walked onto the stage at an empty Ed Sullivan Theater and then sat behind his desk, reading the jokes he would have used for his monologue.
Later, guest Denzel Washington came in from the street in rain gear.
Meanwhile, Fallon's show began with a cold open near Rockefeller Center, where the host explained what was going on, then went upstairs to his studio and started the show with a monologue to empty seats.
It was all a very bizarre departure from your typical Monday night late-night broadcasts.

Lady Gaga used Twitter to slam DJ Calvin Harris after the Scottish performer and producer claimed he turned down the chance to collaborate with her.
Appearing on 'BBC Breakfast,' Harris said he'd rejected Gaga because he was too busy and 'didn't really like the songs.'
Gaga was not pleased.
'Seems to be trendy lately to talk sh*t about 'lady gaga' when your albums/singles drop,' she wrote on Monday. 'Y'al should live off your own hustle. #Ido.'
She continued, 'Never even emailed you @calvinharris I guess it's hard to believe I write + produce my music. cuz I'm a woman I don't know about EDM [electronic dance music] right?'
Harris responded, trying to clear things up.
'LadyGaga no your label emailed me,' he explained. 'I always make sure I say Im a fan when asked about it, I apologize if I offend u, wasn't the intention.'
He added, 'Jeez you turn down one remix in 2008 and next thing the whole world's on your back.'
Gaga saw his message and replied, 'Thanks for the apology & explaining. My apologies too. Congratulations on your album. Wish you well. Cheers.'
It seems the great Gaga-Harris spat of 2012 is now over.

Fallon, Kimmel Planning Late Night Shows From New York Despite Hurricane Sandy

For Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel, the show must go on ' despite the massive hurricane about to pound New York City.
Both late night stars have said they still plan to tape new episodes of their respective shows on Monday, with Fallon filming in Manhattan and Kimmel in Brooklyn.
For Kimmel, Monday marks the start of a week-long stint in his native borough, a long-planned and highly-promoted change from his usual West Coast-based broadcast.
'Starting to get windy here in #Brooklyn'I hope our shows don't fly away,' Kimmel tweeted on Sunday.

Fallon wrote on Twitter Sunday evening, 'We will be doing a new show tomorrow night no matter what. #LateNight'
'The Late Show with David Letterman' is also reportedly planning to do a new show from the city, too.
It's unclear, however, which of the hosts' scheduled guests ' which include Kelly Ripa, Howard Stern and Denzel Washington ' will still be able to participate in the shows.
Other productions in Manhattan have already shut down, including 'Gossip Girl,' 'Blue Bloods' and 'The Good Wife.'
Much of Broadway has gone dark as well, and the Anna Karenina movie premiere set for Tuesday night has been postponed.

Taylor Swift will co-host the 2012 'Grammy Nominations Concert LIVE! ' Countdown to Music's Biggest Night' special.
The six-time winner will join last year's Grammy Awards host LL Cool J in Nashville, marking the first time the special will take place from 'Music City.'
The two singers previously teamed up for the very first nominations special in 2008.
Maroon 5 and Luke Bryan are slated to perform, with more acts to be announced.
The show will be broadcast on December 5 on CBS.

Will Smith gave a rare, impromptu rap performance at Gabrielle Union's 40th birthday party in Miami over the weekend.
The superstar took the mic as Doug E. Fresh provided some beatboxing, treating partygoers to some freestyle, followed by lines from 'Summertime' and the 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' theme song.
Smith also dropped an uncharacteristic N-word during the surprise performance.

Argo Emerges Above Cloud Atlas, Wins Crowded Weekend Box Office

Argo topped a crowded box office that was weakened by Hurricane Sandy's threatening ascent up the East Coast.
Ben Affleck's true story CIA thriller earned $12.5 million, beating the Tom Hanks-Halle Berry new release Cloud Atlas, which took second place and a $9.6 million haul.
The animated Hotel Transylvania secured third with $9.1 million.
Fourth and fifth places went to two horror flicks ' Paranormal Activity 4 and Silent Hill: Revelation 3D ' which raked in a close $8.6 million and $8.5 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Liam Neeson's mad dad sequel Taken 2 ($8.2 million), Here Comes The Boom ($5.5 million), Alex Cross ($5.3 million), Sinister ($5 million), and Pitch Perfect ($4 million).

Madonna was booed at her New Orleans concert on Saturday, and not for some of the usual antics on her 'MDNA Tour.'
The singer was heckled when she asked, 'Who's registered to vote?' followed by 'I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.'
That prompted several concertgoers to boo Madonna as well as to walk out of her concert.

She quickly tried to recover by adding, 'Seriously, I don't care who you vote for' Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.'
