Kanye West will premiere a short film at the Cannes Film Festival, he announced on Friday.
Cruel Summer, which the rapper described as a 'short art film,' won't officially be part of the famed film competition when it screens on Wednesday.

Although not many details are being provided about the film, West said moviegoers will get to partake in an 'immersive seven-screen experience' that's 'a fusion of short film and art installation.'
This is not the first time West has been behind the camera. He's directed videos for his music, including 2010's 'Runaway.'
