Sacha Baron Cohen visited the 'Today Show' on Monday as his Admiral General Aladeen character from The Dictator, and basically tortured interviewer Matt Lauer.

'Aladeen' joked about holding Lauer's wife hostage; announced that Lauer is having an affair with Ann Curry; suggested that Ryan Seacrest tried to steal Lauer's job in a coup; and briefly focused attention on Lauer's nether regions.
He threw in some gags about mass murder, assassination and cannibalism for good measure.
What did you think of Cohen's appearance?

This is completely played out, especially because this is an actual movie with other actors and not a full mockumentary like Bruno or Borat. If Johnny Depp did all of his interviews for POTC as Jack Sparrow he'd probably be called out as self indulgent or crazy, so it's bizarre to see someone constantly pulling stunts as their character.

Just do PR as yourself. After you dumped ashes on Ryan Seacrest it became a big turn off. You already did this routine on your last two movies. Be yourself. I hope you are yourself tomorrow on Howard Stern tomorrow.
