BOX OFFICEThe Bourne Legacy is expected to open on top of the box office, breaking The Dark Knight Rises' streak.
Bourne, with Jeremy Renner replacing Matt Damon as the franchise's star, is being projected for a $44 million weekend, beating Will Ferrell-Zach Galifianakis political comedy The Campaign (an estimated $29 million) and the final Christian Bale Batman flick ($20 million).
Hope Springs, the romantic comedy starring Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones, should be #4 with approximately $15 million.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 is battling Total Recall for fifth place.
Both films are expected to pull in about $9 million.
Ice Age 4 is tracking toward seventh place with $7 million, while Step Up Revolution and Ted should duel for #8 with about $3.5 million apiece.
The Watch and The Amazing Spider-Man are both angling for tenth place with earnings in the realm of $2 million.
